Welcome to JenniferEvelyn, where the love for colour, pattern, and artistic expression comes to life through Art, Design and Travel Photography.

My Journey

The fascination with colour and pattern began in childhood. I was first introduced to crafting by my great grandmother Evelyn, whose name I have proudly incorporated into my brand as a tribute to her influence on my creative path.

Her influence must have extended to my mum, as creativity was a constant presence in our home growing up. From floral arrangements, crafting paper flowers and making bedding and curtains, to spending time together sketching dress designs.

My creative education began with textiles at GCSE level, followed by A-levels in Art and Design and Photography. I then explored various creative disciplines during a BTEC-Foundation in Art and Design, including graphic design, textiles, fashion design, and animation. This diverse creative background led me to complete a BA(Hons) in Fashion Design, where I integrated my love for textile design into clothing design.

During and after university, my career took me through various roles in product development across Womenswear, Childrenswear, and Sportswear. Throughout these years, my dedication to creativity remained constant, giving me a unique perspective that informs my creative work today.

Finding My Way Back

After years in development roles, I returned to my artistic roots as a designer, focusing on what truly drives me: Art, Design and Travel Photography.

My Creative Approach

My work is a vibrant blend of abstract landscapes, floral patterns and quirky surface pattern designs.

I draw inspiration from my travels, capturing moments through photography that also later influence my artistic creations.

I gravitate towards traditional techniques, working primarily with watercolours and acrylics, while also exploring batik, collage, and spontaneous doodling. While I love the authenticity of hand drawing my designs, I am equally comfortable translating them into digital formats.

I have two creative approaches that complement each other:

Surface Pattern Design and Art: 

The surface pattern design and artwork, sometimes influenced by my travel photography, are a blend of landscape abstracts on canvases, flowers and floral patterns, and quirky designs on canvases or homeware. These complement and expand upon my visual storytelling, sitting alongside my photography.

Travel Photography:

Capturing moments from my travels around the world, usually inspired by colours or sometimes abstract details within a view. These photographs, available as high-quality canvas and art prints, invite you to experience the beauty and my unique perspectives.

My Promise

Every JenniferEvelyn piece from design through to travel photography carries with it a strong attention to detail, artistic vision, and my personal creative perspective. Each tells a story, whether it’s a scribbly, sketchy watercolour or a bold abstract landscape painting, I am excited to share these stories with you.
